Blame and rudeness, however, subtle, whether intended, or otherwise, hamper well-being and system performance.  A restorative just culture, gives people the confidence to speak up, raise their concerns, and share ideas without the fear of blame and rudeness.  Such a culture gives people the assurance that they will be listened to, taken seriously and that they will be treated fairly.   This provides an essential foundation for effective change and learning to flourish.  This CPD accredited workshop can help build that foundation.

  • An introduction to ‘Culture’ and behaviours
  • Culture and the link to safety
  • Investigations/learning responses and feedback within a just and restorative culture
  • Recognising and resisting the ‘bias toward blame’
  • Just and Restorative Culture principles
  • Developing a Just and Restorative Culture: infrastructure and values/behaviours
  • Signposting to Civility Saves Lives
  • Working with families who want ‘justice’
  • An introduction to Just and Restorative Culture tools
  • Bringing just and restorative culture into practice in your work area

By the end of the session, delegates will be able to:

  • Describe different behaviours and their potential impacts
  • Conduct a red/amber/green analysis for behaviours
  • Identify blockers to Just Culture in their workplace
  • Engage with families more effectively
  • Collaborate with HR and communications teams to build a Restorative Just Culture
  • Develop a practical implementation strategy

All of our training is delivered in a workshop format which is highly practical, and interactive, to maximise learning.  As a result of this, we cap our delegate numbers to 20.  All workshops can be delivered online or in person over a full 7-hour day or split into two separate half day sessions to suit your needs.
